	<Abstract>Corrosion is anatural process, unavoidable but it’s a controllable. Corrosion inhibitors are extensively used for the protection of metals and equipment and they are required to be acceptable and eco-friendly. Some of the investigators were tried to use natural products as green inhibitors to prevent corrosion.  Recently, a huge interested for the use of naturally occurring inhibitors extracted from plants have been emerged. Most of the natural products are non-toxic, biodegradable and readily available due to environmental concerns. In this review paper, corrosion ninhibition of various types of aluminium and it’s alloy, medium and green inhibitors have been reported. The inhibitor is chemically adsorbed on the surface of the metal and forms a protective thin film with inhibitor effect or by combination between inhibitor ions and metallic surface Corrosion of   aluminium and its inhibition was analyzed by weight loss (Gravimetric), temperature effect (Gasometric), Potentiodynamicpolarization and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) were employed. The protective films formed on metal surface have been analyzed by various techniques such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Response Surface Methodology (RSM), FT-IR (Fourier Transform-Infrared Spectroscopy), UV (Ultra Violet)-Visible spectra, X-ray Diffraction spectroscopy (XRD), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), Electrochemical Frequency Modulation (EFM). The present review paper is an overview of works published on green inhibitors for protection of aluminium and it’s alloy from corrosion.</Abstract>
