The institutional investors are usually well versed with analysis of fundamental factors before investing in equities. Now, the small investors have also started considering different factors those influence the likely performance of the company due to changing scenario of stock broking business and mandatory provisions of regulatory bodies. This study is an attempt to identify the factors, which infrequent small investors consider substantially while investing in any equity. The factors, which were analyzed, are: financial performance and policy, quality of management, dissemination of information and governance and ethical practices. With the help of this study it was found that majority of infrequent small scale investors appraise fundamental factors of a company. However, their analysis is limited to financial performance and policy and information dissemination. The main source of primary data is by conducting questionnaire survey and the source of secondary data is published Annual Report and stock ssecondary data of five consecutive years have been employed. Statistical tools like ABC analysis, FSN analysis are used. A separate questionnaire survey is conducted for low level construction companies,collected data is analyzed using Software. The secondary data is collected from medium and high level construction companies. This factor has widened the door of technical education in the country. Engineering Institutes at present are doing a commandable job in providing pragmatic and value based education. In this context the role of a prospective student in choosing technical education is a dedicate issue in influencing their career. The present study aims in identifying the key factors which affects student’s decision in choosing an engineering college in the state of Odisha. Sample size taken in the study constitutes 200 respondents. Employee retention strategies go a long way in motivating the employees so that they stick to the organization for the maximum time and contribute effectively. Sincere efforts must be taken to ensure growth and learning for the employees in their current assignments and for them to enjoy their work. Employee retention has become a major concern for corporates in the current scenario. Individuals once being trained have a tendency to move to other organizations for better prospects. Lucrative salary, comfortable timings, better ambience, growth prospects are some of the factors which prompt an employee to look for a change.
