	<Abstract>Rapid development of heavy metal research has not been a new area of science. Heavy metal content in cow dung may be due to ingestion of contaminated fodder, water etc. It may affect the quality of the soil, contaminate crops and pose health risks to both animals and people. Cow dung, a type of manure, is a cheap and easily available resource for agriculture. The present study emphasized on quantitative analysis of heavy metals in 120 cow dung samples collected from different locations in Hanumangarh district, Rajasthan. The quantitative assessment of nine heavy metals (Zn, Pb, Cu, Cd, Fe, Ni, Cr, Mn and Co) using Atomic Absorption spectrophotometer was done under this investigation. The results showed that the average levels of contamination of heavy metals was found in the order of the Iron>Copper>Manganese>Zinc>Chromium> Lead>Nickel>Cobalt>Cadmium.</Abstract>
