	<Abstract>This article presents a specific methodology to evaluate ecological well-being on farms managed through permaculture design and practice. First tested on a case-study in Brazil, our aim is to propose an adaptation for testing and potential application in different sites and conditions. A brief review of the literature around ecological well-being, the permaculture ethics and design principles and the consecrated MESMIS methodology is presented in order to clarify the Permaculture MESMIS methodology and its applicability. In order to build upon the Permaculture MESMIS methodology, six steps were executed. The applicability of this methodology is explored at different stages, aiming to understand people's ecological well-being before and after the adoption of permaculture as a way of life. Different ways of applying such a methodology, as well as how to present its results, are also suggested.</Abstract>
