Abstract

Rhodium(I) complexes of Wilkinson's catalyst [Rh(P.Ph3)Cl] types, have been synthesised and characterised by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and magnetic measurements. The complexes have been found to be four coordinated with square planar geometry around the Rhodium metal ions with diamagnetic character, while ruthenium metal forms five coordinated with trigonal bipyramid geometry with paramagnetic character.
