The Ambipolar-Drift Electric Field (ADEF) has been computed for three models of plasma density profiles transverse to the magnetic field by assuming the equality of divergence of electron and ion species fluxes in the plasma. The computed ADEF showed sensitivity to plasma density distributions. However, for a fixed plasma density profile, the nature of the ADEF was found to be insensitive to transverse spatial plasma dimension. The intensity of the field however responded distinctively to the spatial plasma length.
