Role of Emotional Intelligence in Organizational Conflict Management

Abstract

The major thrust of the present paper was to examine the role of emotional intelligence in organizational conflict management. The study was conducted on a sample of 66 executives randomly selected from various departments of a reputed private organization. The study applied the following standardized tools: (i) EQ Inventory (ii) Conflict Management Scale.The results showed that emotional intelligence correlates very poorly with organizational conflict management and moderately contributes to organizational conflict management.
