Abstract
Dhaura reservoir is a freshwater reservoir near Kichha, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand (India). The water of reservoir ismainly used for irrigation purpose and also for fisheries. Dhaura reservoir gathered a wide variety of Icthyo fauna. The present study was conducted for one year that is November 2011 to October 2012. During the study a total of 10 families and25 species are identified belonging to 9 Cyprinidae, 3 Bagridae, 3 Channidae, 3 Siluridae, 2 Notopteridae and a specieseach from Heteropneustidae, Claridae, Belonidae, Mastacemblidae and Clupeidae. The detailed taxonomic account of thesefish species is documented in this research paper.
